My Dementia Companion

My Dementia Companion is an online help tool. It is easy to use and there is a video to watch to get you started.

They have a very modest fee that helps them to be sustainable, so more professionals and family/friend carers can deliver best practice in the future. It is also a small fraction of the benefits and values we offer. Their fee details are on their website. The CARER fee would be the one applicable to us, I think.

Healthy End of Life Program (HELP) App

Developed by the Public Health Palliative Care (PHPC) Unit at La Trobe University.

The recently launched HELP App supports people and families caring for a loved one. This app can help them ask for and accept help from their social circle - tasks and chores big and small that add up and make such a difference to people's lives.

The App contains (among others) the following features:

  • Create a helping network
  • Generate an automated task list based on needs
  • Assign inner circle and outer circle roles within a network
  • Create and set tasks for the network
  • Accept and complete tasks (including reminders for accepted tasks)
  • View unallocated tasks to help out
  • Calendar view of accepted tasks
To download the App from Apple or Android, you just need to go your App Store and search for Healthy End of Life Planning.
